Res Students Kick Off Catholic School Week by Serving Others

Resurrection's National Honor Society and other students who volunteered to help them, kicked off Catholic Schools Week with a service project.  The students came together on Sunday, January 27th and made 300 sack lunches for "Uncle Pete's Ministry."  The mission of "Uncle Pete's Ministry" is to serve the less fortunate, to create awareness of those in need, and provide the poor with hope.
Truly another example of how the young women of Resurrection understand the message of Christ and "go out to share it."

Day of Special Prayer

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has designated today, January 22nd as a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.

It is hard to believe that there have been over 56 million abortions in the United States since the 1973 decisions of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.  It is heartbreaking to realize how many human lives have been thrown away.

Let us pray:  For every little child, and especially for those who live in their mother's womb:  that they might be loved, protected, and given the chance to grow in the image and likeness of the God who made them and treasures them.
