Special "thank you" to all our talented musicians and singers for providing us with a wonderful "Christmas Music Assembly" on Monday of this week.  It was a wonderful opportunity for the entire school to prepare for the glory and beauty of the Christmas Season.

The Resurrection Chamber Orchestra, the Notre Dame/Resurrection Band and Jazz Band, and the Resurrection Choir all selected wonderful seasonal pieces.  Some music and songs were inspiring, some were nostalgic, some foot-tapping and fun, and some drew the audience in as active participants.

Resurrection Receives a Gift

Yesterday we received a beautiful gift, a wood carving of the Holy Family.  This beautiful gift was donated by a group of physicians from Presence Resurrection Medical Center.  It is hanging in the corridor between the Theater and the Library.  We are grateful to the physicians for their kindness and generosity.

Someone You Should Know

Molly Feller is a sophomore at Resurrection College Prep High School.  I recently learned that Molly has skills in an unusual sport, archery.  Molly's mom encouraged her to try the sport when she was 9 years old and Molly says she instantly loved it.

Archery, as a sport requires physical stamina and mental concentration and calculation.  Archery helps one develop skills that transfer well to classroom skills.  Two fundamental skills are slowing down and focusing on one step at a time.

Advancement in archery are based on earning "pins."  To date Molly has earned 6 pins and is on her way to reaching high honors in the sport!

Congratulations Molly!
