"Wake the World"

Late last fall, Pope Francis announced the Year of Consecrated Life.  The goal Pope has for this special year is to:  look at religious life with gratitude for the past, a renewed commitment of religious men and women to live the present with passion and to embrace the future with hope.
"I am counting on you 'to wake up the world', since the distinctive sign of consecrated life is prophecy," Pope Francis said.

Sister Kathleen, C.R., of Resurrection College Prep High School Campus Ministry, takes the challenge of Pope Francis to heart each day as she embraces with passion her call to

"proclaiming the Good News",
and "enjoying the gift of life" with others.

New Parking Lot is Complete

The new parking lot approved earlier this year by our Sponsor, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Resurrection and the Board of Directors of Resurrection College Prep High School was completed this weekend.  I am confident that everyone at Resurrection joins me in thanking our Sponsor and the Board for approving this totally new parking lot!  It is beautiful and will be wonderful to use.

Stay tuned for updates on the other two major projects that are still in process, the front roadways and parking areas and the track!

A Summer Visit to the Big Apple

Once again, this summer students from Resurrection College Prep High School were selected to participate in the prestigious Summer Leadership Academy at Mercy College in New York!  What an honor for Melanie Kanakis and Alexandria Ippolito to be chosen.  Melanie and Lexi were among 200 students nationwide to pass the selection process.  There were over 2,000 applications submitted for this year's program so to be one of 200 selected is a great honor.  The program provides participants the opportunity to take part in business lectures and activities at Mercy College in New York.  The Academy also includes visits to some of the Top 10 firms in New York City where the students learn from expert business entrepreneurs the importance of strategic planning and visionary leadership.

Congratulations to Melanie Kanakis and Alexandria Ippolito, members of the class of 2016!
