True Commitment

When a Senior sacrifices her prom to participate in Illinois Track Sectionals, you are witnessing a young woman with passion and commitment to her sport and the ability to make tough choices!  Res Senior, Carissa Fagiano made that difficult choice on Friday, May 15th.  The result was powerful, Carissa set a personal record at the Sectionals.  Carissa ran an 800 meter race in 2 minutes and 22 seconds.  She now qualifies to compete at the state level in track and field at Eastern Illinois University on May 22 and 23, 2015.

Carissa is a true Res role model.  In her own words:  "I am very passionate about my goals for the future.  My education and my love for running are two things that I take very seriously and continuously strive to improve."

Carissa's future dreams are to "study nursing at UIC and eventually become a physician's assistant."

Carissa understands the power of commitment and perseverance and will be an inspiration and source of hope when she someday serves others in the healthcare field.

God bless you Carissa, we are proud of you.
